Fees, classes, and the hall

Acceptance is 15000 naira. The weekly allowance is 3000 naira. School fees are 20000 naira. A semester load is 18 units, with at least 3 classes. Pack-out is 7 days. The hostel home is the Hall of Residence at 1200 naira a week, the same rent as the house card, and only students take that bed.

Grades cut at A 70, B 60, C 50, D 45, and E 40. Degree class cuts are first 4.5, upper 3.5, and lower 2.4. Third class cuts at 0. That zero is the class boundary, not a promise that third class is impossible and not a grade of zero on a script.

Eight departments and where they lead

Computer Science and Systems Engineering both feed the Tech ladder, in four years and five years. Mass Communication feeds content and the football pundit path. Law feeds the courthouse ladder and takes five years. Accounting feeds banking, trading, and retail. Creative Arts feeds music, DJ work, and event planning. Nursing Science takes five years in the College of Medicine and feeds the open nursing ladder, not the gated doctor ladder. Education feeds teaching.

A department does not skip a career gate. Medicine still wants fitness level 3 even if you sat in a classroom. Product Management still wants coding level 3. The hall rent still comes out weekly while school fees of 20000 sit as their own bill. Budget both, and do not treat the 3000 allowance as rent.

Pick a department for the ladder it feeds, then check that ladder's gate. Nursing Science feeds the open nursing job. It does not feed Medicine. Law feeds the courthouse and still wants the charisma the law ladder uses. Computer Science feeds Tech at CcHub without adding a second gate of its own.

The allowance will not carry Lekki. Three thousand naira against a 17000 mini-flat is a shortfall every week, before school fees. The hall at 1200 is the student answer, and it is unavailable to everyone else. A LAPO repayment of 12000 on top of fees is a harder semester than a Nepo pocket.

Letter cuts are the ones you see on a script. Seventy is an A, sixty a B, fifty a C, forty-five a D, and forty an E. Class of degree is the other table, and third class cuts at 0. Keep those conversations apart when someone quotes a number at you.

Computer Science takes 4 years in the Faculty of Science and feeds Tech. Systems Engineering takes 5 years in the Faculty of Engineering and feeds the same Tech ladder, so the extra year is not a second career. Mass Communication takes 4 years in Social Sciences and can lead to content or the football pundit desk. Law takes 5 years in the Faculty of Law and still meets the charisma gate on the courthouse ladder.

Put the weekly money on one line before you accept the hall. Allowance is 3000. Hall rent is 1200. That leaves 1800 before garri, transport, and a wish that asks you to earn 15000 in a day. School fees of 20000 and acceptance of 15000 are separate bills, and a semester still wants 18 units with at least 3 classes. Pack-out arrives after 7 days when the session ends.

Quote the letter when someone is staring at a script. Quote the class cut when someone is staring at the degree. The zero is the third-class boundary, not a score of zero on the course.

Is the hall cheaper than Mushin?

The hall is 1200 naira a week and Mushin face-me is 2400, so the bed is cheaper, but only UNILAG students can take it. You also owe 15000 acceptance, 20000 school fees, and you live on a 3000 allowance. A non-student cannot use the hall to dodge Mushin. Pack-out is 7 days when the session ends, which a Mushin room does not ask of you.
