survive NEPA
Six bars decay on relative constants, not on a wall clock. Bladder falls fastest. Social falls slowest.
The six constants
Bladder decays at 7 from a start of 70. Hunger decays at 5.5 from a start of 80. Fun decays at 4.5 from a start of 70. Energy decays at 4 from a start of 85. Hygiene decays at 3.5 from a start of 75. Social decays at 3 from a start of 60.
Bladder at 7 will empty before Social at 3 if you ignore both. Hunger at 5.5 and Fun at 4.5 sit in the middle. Energy starts highest at 85 and decays at 4. Hygiene starts at 75 and decays at 3.5. These speeds are not minutes, and a danfo ride does not consume 4 energy just because Energy's decay is 4.
The night bus is the explicit exception. GIG drains 18 energy and 16 hygiene on top of whatever the constants are already doing. A long trek tires you because the mode says so, not because you multiply decay by kilometres. Plan the bathroom before a midnight Quilox run, and plan food before a Balogun day.
Where a bar gets filled
Hunger points you at Amala Shitta, a kitchen, or the grocery list that starts with Mama Gold Rice. Energy hates a NEPA cut, which is why the Monday tip says buy a generator or solar before the evening fails. Fun and social rise at the Shrine, Quilox, Freedom Park, and a gist with colleagues, and that same gist slows your job performance.
Hygiene wants a bath. The wish list even scores one point for taking a bath, which is the smallest wish reward on the board. Bladder has no glamorous venue. It just decays at 7, so it interrupts the other five. Steady light, the governor policy, shortens NEPA cuts. It does not freeze decay.
Pair a bar with a place instead of with a timer. Hunger goes to the stall or the pot. Fun goes to the club, the Shrine, or Freedom Park. Social goes to a conversation or a gist at work. Hygiene goes to a bath. Bladder goes to the nearest stop you can reach before the 7 decay embarrasses you.
A tone that spends energy is a bad idea on an empty energy bar, and a tone that spends fun is a bad idea before Quilox. Take Am Easy is the recovery pace. Work Like Jaguda is the show-off pace. The careers page explains those tones next to the ladders.
NEPA is the energy story the Monday tip is worried about. Decay does not switch off when the light does. A generator or solar is how you finish a shift that started at home. Steady light, if it ever replaces transport as the active policy, would shorten the cuts. It is not active now.
The opening bars are not equal. Hunger starts at 80, energy at 85, fun at 70, social at 60, hygiene at 75, and bladder at 70. Social begins lowest and also decays slowest, at 3. Energy begins highest and decays at 4. A fresh character can feel short of company before they feel short of energy, and bladder at 7 will still be the first crisis if you ignore the room.
Match a repair to the bar you spent. A bath restores hygiene and it is also the 1-point wish. Cooking and a plate at the stall answer hunger. Two workouts answer the fitness wish and spend the body the coach trains. Television and a dance are small fun repairs. Three conversations are the cheap social card, and a padi at level 30 is the long one.
The night bus is the rude exception. Eighteen energy and sixteen hygiene come off when you arrive on the 440 km GIG ticket, on top of whatever decay already ran during the ride. A city trek tires you without that pair of drains. Do not stack a Work Like Jaguda shift, which already burns energy and fun, onto the hour you step off that bus.
The useful order is bladder 7, hunger 5.5, fun 4.5, energy 4, hygiene 3.5, then social 3. When two bars look close, trust the decay constant rather than the emoji. The Monday tip about a generator is about NEPA cutting the evening. That is a city event, not a seventh bar with its own decay number.
Fun opens at 70 and falls at 4.5, which is why a Quilox plan that starts at 22:00 has to be made while the bar still has something left. Social can wait until morning. Bladder cannot wait, and hunger at 5.5 will not politely queue behind a club night.
| Need | Decay | Starts at |
|---|---|---|
| Hunger | 5.5 | 80 |
| Energy | 4 | 85 |
| Fun | 4.5 | 70 |
| Social | 3 | 60 |
| Hygiene | 3.5 | 75 |
| Bladder | 7 | 70 |
Player questions
- Are the decay numbers minutes?
- No. Hunger 5.5, Energy 4, Fun 4.5, Social 3, Hygiene 3.5, and Bladder 7 are relative speeds on the six needs. A bigger number falls faster. They do not convert into a minute hand, and the minutes per kilometre on a ride do not feed these bars. Use the order, not a stopwatch. Bladder first, then hunger, then fun, then energy, then hygiene, then social.
- What does the night bus do to the bars?
- The GIG night bus drains 18 energy and 16 hygiene for the trip between Lagos and Port Harcourt. That hit is part of the ticket, separate from the decay constants and separate from the 25000 naira fare. A city danfo does not apply those two drains. If you arrive on the bus and then try to work a tone that already spends energy, you are stacking a bad arrival on a hard shift.
